Are you an Instructor or Course Director in good standing with an internationally recognized diving association such as PADI, NAUI or SSI?  If so, you are eligible to attend the Ocean Reef Factory Sponsored Course (FSC) to learn how to properly use, and teach your students about, an Integrated Dive Mask (IDM).  (An Integrated Dive Mask is more than a full face mask.  An IDM has more features and functionality than simply combining a regulator and mask.)

The FSC is an intensive two-day program and when completed you will be an expert in the use of Ocean Reef IDMs.  The FSC contains presentations, workshops and plenty of time in water going through all aspects of using an Ocean Reef IDM and communication systems for regular diver training.  The program finishes with a practical and theoretical exam and when successfully completed you will receive a diploma that can be presented to your certification agency so you can obtain your appropriate Instructor certification.  We often do our training in the  crystal clear (but cool) waters of the Cenotes where you will find no current, no waves and 100+ foot (30 meter) visibility year around.  It is a vastly enhanced experience for training over that offered in a traditional pool or through ocean diving and with depths up to 60 feet (18.5 meters) you will be able to put your IDM through all possible tests and experiences.

If you are a dive shop or you have some other instructors who want to take the class at a time other than our regularly scheduled sessions please feel free to ask about a training program designed for your group.  We do offer a discount for the class for groups of 3 or more.

Since you are already in Mexico you may want to take advantage of some of the great diving and snorkeling activities available in Mexico and not available through any of the other ITCs. For instance, if you want to stay a few extra days then we can arrange for you to:

  • Snorkel with Whale Sharks (Whale Shark season runs from around May 20 until mid-September and it is not uncommon to see 50-200 Whale Sharks at one time.

  • Dive with Bull Sharks (Pregnant Bull Sharks come to the Cozumel area from December through January for birthing and you can choose to dive and find schools of Bull Sharks or witness a remarkable Bull Shark feeding trip.)

  • Diving the Cenotes. (The Cenotes is a series of caverns and caves throughout the Playa del Carmen area where you will find the clearest waters you have ever seen when diving as well as remarkable underwater geological formations. Like snorkeling with Whale Sharks, diving the Cenotes is a "bucket list" item for many divers.)

  • Reef diving off the coasts of Playa del Carmen or Cozumel.

If you have questions about the FSC please feel free to fill out the Contact form on this web site, send an email to bob@scubabobphoto.com or call Bob at 301-789-7685.  We are here to help you make the most of your trip to Mexico.
